Looking for a new home?
Buying a new home can be stressful. Let me help you through the process!

Before we go out to look for a home, you need to talk with a loan officer and get pre-approved! If you need a recommendation of a qualified loan officer, please let me know!

When looking for a new home, you must take many things into consideration including location, price & size. The more specific you are, the easier it is to narrow down the search to finding your dream home! Let me set you up on “My Home” and you will automatically be updated via email when a new home comes on the market that meets your search criteria.

If you see a home you love and it is available at a reasonable price, Buy It!

Once we find a home, I will run comps on the area to decide what price we should make an offer. When we write up the contract, you will need to write an earnest money check. This is similar to a security deposit. This money insures that you are serious about purchasing the property. As long as you don’t walk away from the deal for no reason, this money will go towards your closing costs or down payment. Once a contract has been accepted, you have ten days in which to have an inspection and decide if you want to renegotiate the original contract.

Making a list, checking it twice...
Home-buying can be a complicated process, and even somewhat intimidating. There is just so much to remember, seemingly, from the 'dos and don'ts' of homebuying to simply having the right attitude. However, home-buying shouldn't be the intimidating process as it seems! It should be a time in your life to celebrate! In this spirit, I've come up with some Checklists to help you remember the important things in this important process of finding your dream home!

What if I'm Building a Home?
Building a home is often the true "American Dream", as you can truly specify the things YOU WANT and build to your specifications. You also avoid some of the struggles other buyers encounter. Here are 5 examples of things you will avoid if you buy new construction:

  • An outdated look both inside and out.
  • Questionable mechanical systems (water, heating, cooling).
  • Poor floor plans or small, choppy rooms.
  • Paying high costs for inefficient mechanical systems and poor insulation.
  • Compromising on color, style and layout or paying to have things remodeled to fit your lifestyle.

In addition, I'd love to set you up on a search to help you find the home of your dreams!
